Estelle Touzet, Head Sommelier at Le Meurice

Estelle became Head Sommelier of Hotel Le Meurice on October 1st, 2010
 
Originally from the Loire region, this lively and cheerful young 30 year old lady now oversees the 30 000 bottles and 1 100 references on Le Meurice’s Wine list.
 
Estelle picked up the « virus » of gastronomy at a very young age thanks to her high school history teacher who introduced her to this particular universe and then offered her to host a culinary show on a local radio. Following catering studies in Brive la Gaillarde and specific wine training at the Lycée Albert de Mum, this young lady worked within some of the highest references in gastronomy: Château de Cordeillan Bages, Restaurant Guy Savoy, Hotel le Bristol, Hotel de Crillon and Tom Aikens in London. In March 2008, Estelle decided to join the team at Hotel Le Meurice as Assistant Head Sommelier before being named Head Sommelier in October 2010.
 Estelle drives a team of five people and is particularly attached to values such as sharing and a good ear which in her opinion are essential to respond to guest expectations and working with Yannick Alléno’s cuisine. She also hosts a monthly evening called The Nocturnes 228, wine tasting evenings which are exceptional encounters with some of the world’s best grape varieties.
